A community-based performing arts educational institution, New York Music & Arts has been serving neighborhoods of the New York Metropolitan area and Long Island since its formation in the beginning of 2007. We began with a modest team of four, to a hand-selected thirty plus employees consisting of top-tiered talents from the Juilliard School, Curtis Institute, Yale and Columbia Universities and more. We continuously develop and revamp our cutting-edge STEAM curriculum, expanding across music, dance, drama, as well as reading, writing, math, and other K-12 subjects based on the New York Common Core Standards. The results rival those of top institutions in the world.
For more than a decade, we proudly produced students that were accepted to Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Columbia, MIT, Julliard, Curtis, Manhattan School of Music and more. Through their love and passion of the arts, our students flourished in other fields and subjects at their schools, and achieved higher dreams.
We maintain a close link with leading world experts as our board of advisers, consisting of the head of the piano faculty and director of the pre-college division at the Julliard School, Dr. Yoheved Kaplinsky, Julliard School and Curtis Music Institute Piano faculty member, Robert McDonald, as well as members of the Board of Education in New York. Each teacher at New York Music and Arts is not only internationally recognized in their respective area of expertise, but has extensive experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels. This type of successful professional experience, guiding students as they develop proficiency while fostering creativity and intellectual curiosity, combined with the superior educational background, has guaranteed that the faculty of New York Music & Arts is rivaled by few.
