Private Lessons

Our private lesson program offers highly individualized private lessons for all ages and skill levels. Each student is placed with one of our expert faculty members who tailor lessons to best fit each student's needs and desires. It is very helpful for students that prefer to concentrate on audition material (NYSSMA and ABRSM Exams) and competition material for all age levels (junior high, high school and college) In addition, we offer private lessons in composition, theory and solfege upon request. 

When you register for individual lessons at New York Music & Arts, you receive more than a weekly lesson. Your tuition covers a wide range of activities and allows you to expand your musical endeavors at no additional charge. 
 

Duration: 30, 45 or 60 minutes per week/ Full semester (20 classes)
 

Ages: 3-adult


Schedule: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday 


Individual Instruction: 

Individual lessons are available everyday of the week, except for Mondays and Fridays. Our music directors will work closely with you to choose an instructor and an appropriate lesson length for your child.

Group Lessons

Group Classes In Theory for Little Maestros: 

This beginning/intermediate theory class is an introduction to basic music elements, styles and composers. Learn something that will help you perform at ease. Classes will be arranged for students of varying ages and levels of skills. Theory classes are a wonderful way to supplement individual instruction, an important step of musical growth.

Chamber Duos 

Ever wished you could play with a friend, mom/dad, a spouse, or other relatives? Then this is perfect for you! We offer private lessons setting for two students studying any instrument or voice with our instructor to gain proficiency in ensemble playing. Learn new repertoire and have fun! 


Duration: 30 or 45 minutes/Full semester


Ages: 6 to adult

Classes for Adults

Individual lessons are available every day of the week, except Monday and Friday, and we offer convenient lunch time and evening hours. Our music directors will help you choose an instructor and an appropriate lesson length.

Ages: 18 and older


Family Music Making


This class gives parents the opportunity to make their child's home practice more productive and fun by learning the basics of keyboard in a relaxed and casual atmosphere with other parents. Learn how to help your child practice and enjoy playing duets together making practice time family time. We also provide performance opportunities with their children at our school recitals or gathering. 


Duration: 45 or 60 minutes per week/Full semester (20 weeks)


Ages: Adult

Fundamentals Music Theory for Adults 


Do you find music reading frustrating? Maybe you would like a quick music reading tutorial before you begin taking private lessons. This course is designed to teach students the fundamental elements of rhythm, melody and harmony, and help students develop musicianship through the integration of reading and even writing music, theory. Please call for consultation and class schedule.
